Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has revealed that Leicester City’s incoming manager will struggle if the club’s owners remain too close to the players.

    Leicester City sacked Steve Cooper after a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea last weekend, leaving the club 16th in the table, just one point clear of the relegation zone.

    Football Insider reported that after the sacking. Senior executives went into the dressing room to assess the players’ mood, with many heavily criticising Cooper.

    Speaking to TalkSport, Jordan said: “If you have an owner walking into a dressing room and talking to players about their emotions. I think that’s fundamentally wrong.”

    When Martin Keown asked if the players were too close to the owners. Jordan said: “I think it’s the owners’ responsibility to keep their distance. If the owners allow themselves to come in, the manager doesn’t want to work in that environment.”

    “I truly believe they are my employees. I should be able to talk to whoever I want, but my relationship is with the manager. If I allow players to UFABET have a direct relationship with me, I’m destroying the manager. I’m leaving a rift and I’m allowing players to do things they shouldn’t do. My champion should be my manager.”
